Throughout The Farm Home renovation, we continuously stumbled upon fellow Instagram accounts and homeowners that were tackling similar projects of their own. Unique real estate gems that were just waiting to be fixed up! When we started demo, there were times we felt alone in the process, but these fellow renovation revitalizists reminded us we weren't. Someone out there understands the layer of dust you're living through.
Today, The Farm Home opens its doors to guests through the vacation home rental platform Airbnb as a way to create a unique, local-perspective, stay for travelers visiting Stowe, Vermont. It wasn't always that way though. We lived through a year and a half of demolition dust, Home Depot dates, antique shop scavenger hunts, and all the challenges and struggles that real-life couples go through while tackling a home restoration project.
While renovating a home into a viable income property is not a new business model, there's something uniquely special about an old home with a story. Through this platform, we want to share some of the DIY couples we want to champion, restoration projects that inspire us, and homes quite-worthy of visiting on your next Airbnb vacay. Their stories are special, their designs are one-of-a-kind, and their locations are the ones you'll soon be visiting just to say you stayed there.
So read along and bookmark...there will be travel in your future.
