Welcome to The Farm Home! We're so excited for you to visit our cozy corner of Stowe Village and sip in all the fresh air the mountains have to offer. We first laid eyes on this old, cobweb-of-a-house in February 2016. A bit rotted yet refined, we saw the character and boy did it speak to us. It was one of those situations where we didn't really choose it, it chose us.  It sat on the market, and sat there...and given our love of old homes, we just kept coming back to the link with curiosity + dreams of what we could do with this property. After our first walk-through, we left plotting and scheming-up ideas faster than we could talk. Two months later, we closed on April 29, 2016, with keys to unlock a project of a lifetime! Two young dreamers, both in love with each other and their passions, we got down to business. Nearly a year later all of the demo, dust, dirt floors, concrete pours, mousetraps, and trips to the dump came to an end as we polished off the farm table to sit for our first home-cooked meal.

On July 1, 2017, we celebrated an unofficial "house-warming" as family + friends joined us in Stowe for our wedding and to check out our fixer upper. Built upon the values of restoration, repurpose, and sustainability, we hunted and gathered for design, salvaged antique-finds, and preserved original character where we could. A true combination of old + new, The Farm Home is a unique find in and of itself. For the past 150 years, this historic house has sat atop Mountain Road welcoming travelers and passer-byers alike. So why The Farm Home? It became clear through our renovation that this house has a history, quite literally built-into the walls. There were many times we would be mid-demo and one of us would say "If these walls could talk...". We're honored to now share in that history and felt that a home of this longevity quite honestly, deserved a name. A true Vermont Farmhouse, it led us to something simple and classic: The Farm Home. She's a one of a kind, and we hope you think so too.
